Compound camphor cream is a mixture of camphor, menthol, methyl salicylate, diphenhydramine, chlorhexidine gluconate, white vaseline, and other ingredients. Its ingredients, camphor, menthol, and methyl salicylate, have anti-inflammatory, anti-pain, and anti-itching properties. Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine; chlorhexidine is an antiseptic and disinfectant; and glycyrrhetinic acid has anti-inflammatory and antiallergic properties.
